My Favourite Sunglass Trend for Summer 2019 | IRIS

Summer is almost here, and you know what this means - it is time to take your favourite sunnies out again! When it comes to choosing the right sunglasses, there are two ways you can go. You can always count on the classic style such as the Wayfarer or Clubmaster, or you can opt for a more trendy style in terms of its shapes and colours. I love both the classic and trendy styles, and I am excited to share with you my favourite sunglasses trend for Summer 2019. Please note that these sunglasses are all available on IRIS.ca or your local IRIS stores.

Clubmaster The Clubmaster style, a sunglasses variation of the"browline"style of eyeglasses, is a timeless sunglasses trends that will never die. It has become essential to any man’s wardrobe since the early 50's until this day, and it has certainly hold a special place in my heart as I have inherited one very first pair of Ray-Ban Clubmasters from my grandfather.

Aviator

One thing about the Aviator sunglasses is that they never go out of style. The style was originally created for pilots to protect their eyes while flying, and now it personifies the term "cool" and "suave" as we have seen style icons such as Robert Redford, Steve McQueen, Tom Cruise, David Beckham rocking these shades.

Top-Bar

One glasses style that has caught my eyes recently is the top-bar glasses worn by actor Henry Carvill in the latest Hugo Boss eyewear campaign. For those of you who are not familiar with the style, the top-bar style has a thick metal bar that prominently links the two eye rims at upper points of their perimeters. To me, top-bar sunglasses adds a bit more of flair to the regular sunglass styles - they are designed to be seen.

Round

When I think of round sunglasses, I think of rock icons like Elton John, Ozzy Osbourne, and of course the legendary John Lennon. Recently I still see a lot people wearing round sunglasses, especially the fashion bloggers spotted in Coachella as it gives a very relaxed and chill vibe.

Round sunglasses are also suitable for those with square and diamond-shaped faces, as circular designs work best on those with natural angles.

Hope this article helps you make the best choice when it comes to picking the right sunglasses! If you feel like you still need a specialist to assist you in person, I highly recommend you to book an appointment at one of your local IRIS locations. The associates are all experts in style and vision, and they can definitely help you pick the most suitable sunglasses according to the activities you are planning to do outside, according to your style and of course your budget.
